Cute older hotel, thin walls but nothing that is unbearable. Friendly staff at check in. Clean and well kept. Soft bed.
This was our first time staying in the mountains, we are from the Charlotte area of NC, and Shady Lawn Inn has us already planning our next trip! Not only was the woodland themed room a hit with our kids, the owner went above and beyond for us. After learning my kids were big into not only Legos, but huge Harry Potter fans, he left a special surprise in our room that had our kids sooo excited! It was Sirius-ly so sweet and brought tears to this mommas eyes. I have recommended this Inn to all of my family and I can't recommend it enough to others. The rooms have mini fridges, tvs, closets, nice showers, and comfy beds. If you're a fellow breastfeeding mom, you may need to bring a cooler with ice. Otherwise they have everything else! There is also a restaurant next door that serves good food and has something for everyone.
The Inn at Shady Lawn was perfect for our youth group of 20—clean, comfortable rooms and a great location near Hawksnest for tubing fun. Staff were super friendly and helpful, setting up everything for our nightly campfires by the firepit. The on-site restaurant had delicious food too. Highly recommend for groups! We’ll be back.
Super cute motel! Rooms were well appointed and clean. Large bathroom and cozy bed. The staff was courteous and amazing too.
Stopped in without reservation while on a motorcycle trip. The Inn Manager was supper accommodating and was able to get me a great rate. The room was clean comfortable and had everything, plenty of towels, soaps, hair product's, coffee, fridge and microwave. The manager even had the cleaning staff dry my wet clothes after being caught in the rain on a motorcycle. It's definitely a step above most.
The room served our needs. Equipped with mini fridge & Microwave. The carpet had stains but no bad smell in room and it was clean. The staff at front desk Felton was super cool and helped us a lot. We will be back.

We only stayed 1 night (my sister and myself) but we really enjoyed everything about this place. The staff was so nice and the rooms were so clean! The cleaning ladies do an amazing job! We felt safe and comfortable in the location and it was an overall great experience! If we ever come back (and we hope to sometime in the future) I would absolutely stay here again. :)
